OUR STORY
Eichhorn Jewelry, Inc. in the Heart of Downtown Decatur, Indiana was established August 5, 1965 by John Eichhorn. A master watchmaker and repairman, John built his retail business as a Diamond Specialist with the motto, "Always Think Diamonds". A family man with a wife and ten children, it was only a matter of time before his eldest, Eileen acquired an interest in gemstones and the business.
Eileen Eichhorn, current president and owner, along with two of her sisters, Kate Dyer and Laura Ditto, and nephew, Matt Dyer, have kept this family business growing and thriving throughout its 55+ years. Building renovations, in both 1999 and 2003, expanded office space, added private diamond rooms and updated our 3 beautiful showrooms. Not only do we have a strong customer base in Indiana but also across the country. Past customers who have moved away still call or email us when buying jewelry.
This commitment to quality has been polished since 1965 and it continues today with our retail sales and services that other jewelers no longer wish to offer.
